Hitting the Road and a Few Things in the Shop

Early in the morning, I’m going on little weekend road trip with my husband, which I’ll be sharing more about later.  I have no idea what kind of places we’ll come across, but I’m hoping we’ll discover some great thrift and antique stores along the way, and that I’ll come home with a totally full vehicle.  The forecast is calling for snow, so I hope we get through it okay and have an uneventful drive, weather-wise.
I spent several days this week working on my “antique cupboard”, doing some shipping, and tinkering around on a few projects, but it honestly wasn’t nearly as productive of a week as I would have liked, but I did celebrate my birthday on Tuesday.  My husband and daughter bought me a new 50mm lens for my camera, so I’m hoping to start playing with it next week, learning how to get good shots with it.  I’m so used to a zoom lens, that using a fixed lens will have a learning curve, I’m sure.
I didn’t get many new things created or vintage things listed in my shop, but I thought I’d share a few that are available.  It’s been quite awhile since I’ve put together any book stacks, so I put 4 sets of them together.

This yellow/brown set is probably my favorite set.   It’s available here.

This is a well-aged shades of red set that is available here.

I love this set as well.  These 3 books are all super old and show lots of aging, which I love.  It’s available here.

Another shades of red set, but this one includes 2 antique dictionaries.  It’s available here.

I’m not sure what this wood piece originally came from, but it has a nice beveled edge, so I turned it into a sign, which is available here.

This set of 2 Vintage Petite Italian Frames is available here.

I also created another coat hook, using the same photo transfer process I showed you here.  This one is available here.
This has already sold, but I picked up this wonderful little light cage at an auction a few months ago, and my husband converted it into a hanging pendant light.  I did enjoy having it hanging above my kitchen counter for a few days before it sold.

The cloth-covered wire,  Edison style light bulb,  and strain reliefs (black tips that connect to the wire) came from Vintage Wire and Supply.  I haven’t shared anything about them with you, but these folks are amazing to buy from.  They have fabulous customer service, ship super fast, and we’ve been thrilled with everything we’ve gotten from them.  Be sure and tell them I sent you! 🙂
Vintage Wire and Supply is a sponsor of my blog, but this is not a paid post – I just think they are an awesome business and know you’ll love their products and service.

Well, I’m off to get my packing done and finish up some projects before we leave.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,

Angie
