Repurposed Lamps & Lights

The last several weeks, my husband and I have been working on lots of hanging lights and lamps, and I realized I haven’t shared them here, and I have quite a few to show you.
This one is probably my favorite.  I’ve had this antique milk can strainer for quite some time, and I’m so glad to have finally done something with it.  The patina on it is absolute perfection.

I love how the Edison bulb peeks out from the bottom of it

It’s available in my shop here.

This next light is a closer runner up for favorite.  I brought home a bunch of antique encyclopedias, and the spine had come off of this one, revealing the advertisements underneath.  I always feel like I’ve hit the jackpot when I find a book spine like this.

Originally, this was a wooden candle holder, but it had already been converted into a lamp when I found it in a thrift store.  I just painted it black.

I love how it looks like an old-fashioned lamp post.  It has sold.

I found this old work light at a flea market a few weeks ago, and I love the simple, industrial look they have, so it was a good candidate to become a hanging pendant light.  It’s available here.

I got 3 of these rusty old metal flower baskets at an auction, so my husband converted this one into another light.  I still have the other 2, so I may have him make more lights to use in my in-progress guest house/photo studio.  I’ll be showing you the progress on it next week.  This light is available here.

Originally, I planned to keep this deconstructed lampshade pendant light, and use it in the guest house, but I’ve been stockpiling so much stuff for that space, I decided to part with it.  It has sold.

We still have more lights that are in-progress, so I’ll share them with  you next week!
All of the cords and bulbs for all these lamps and lights came from Vintage Wire & Supply Co.  I wholeheartedly recommend them.  Both their products and service are outstanding.  This isn’t a paid post – I just think they are awesome and know you’ll love buying from them as well.
