At this moment, I’m with my husband, 4 kids and 2 dogs, driving part way across the country. My rear end and back are rebelling against sitting in a car seat for so long, and I’m already suffering from crafting withdrawal, but I keep reminding myself that it will be worth it once we arrive. We’re going to visit grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles & cousins. In other words, we are taking a much-needed break, surrounded by people we love.
For about 2 seconds, I thought about trying to squeeze in a few new projects to share with you while I was gone, then I pounded my head against a wall and knocked some sense into myself. I had enough to do just packing, arranging for a house & horse-sitter, and getting orders shipped before we left, and I didn’t need to make any more work for myself.
Instead, I did what smart bloggers do…I called for backup. My Junkers United buddy, Susan, is here to share a DIY project you’ll love, so I’ll let her take it from here. Thanks Susan!!
Hi everyone, I’m Susan and I create over at
I love finding cast-offs and salvaged pieces
and turn them into something fabulous.
There are Mason jar organizers and then
there are toolboxes…
This project is a little bit of both!
I created a toolbox using long reclaimed fence boards
with aluminum flashing for the corners.
You can see how I made a box like this here.
I added 6 Mason pasta jars with jute ties and little clothespins.
These jars were free! We eat a lot of jarred sauce around here.
On the front I added a cute little transfer using
Modge Podge. You can read about the transfer here.
The extra long toolbox is the perfect place
for all these jars!
Add an extra long handle with a hook
and these jars are ready to hold craft supplies, kitchen items,
or
even small bouquets of flowers!
Thank you so much Angie for having me
today, I’m so excited to be part of your
awesome world today!
I hope you will all stop by Homeroad to see more repurposed projects.
Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!
Hope you have a nice break and a good trip.
Have a great week.
Denise

Nice project. My son & his gal are making something similar to hold jars for beverages at their rustic wedding! Thanks for sharing.
