I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day. Mine was especially nice, having all my kids home, but I had a dream that woke me up during the night, and once I was up, I couldn’t fall back to sleep. I fell asleep during church and have been going on fumes ever since, so if I make more typos than usual, you’ll understand why. I should have just taken a nap, but I really wanted to work on painting out in my guest house/photo studio, so I kept my eyes pried open, and my oldest son and I got to work. Progress was very slow, as there is so much wood that needs multiple coats of paint, but I know it will be worth it when it’s done…eventually.
I just wanted to share another hanging light we finished last week.
I got this old chicken feeder at an auction during the winter. The previous owner was a thrifty person who made a metal patch for a small hole in it, and that just adds to its charm to me. I scrubbed it good, then my husband did the wiring.
Sometime in the next week or so, I’ll need to decide on a light fixture for the studio, so if this one hasn’t sold, it’s a possibility, but for now, it’s available in my shop here. Well, I’m going to eat some cake my son made, and hit the hay! I’m hoping for another beautiful day tomorrow, and will get back out and paint some more.
Blessings,
Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out of your day to visit Knick of Time!!
This is amazing, it is so different and beautiful. I love the rustic and industrial feel to it!
Really neat rustic lamp which should appeal to those who like industrial. I am sure it will sell, so you need to make another one for your studio. Love the corrugated tin as a photo backdrop.
Glad you had a happy Mother’s day.

The light turned out great it’s amazing what you can do with an old bird feeder.
Have a great week.

The lamp is so cute! Glad to hear you had a good Mother’s Day. The weather was lousy here today (it’s actually still snowing right now) but my oldest daughter showed up at my door unexpectedly this morning with coffee and gifts and spent most of the day here with the three younger kids and me. My teenager made dinner and my 10 year old made dessert, so it was a sweet day for me too 🙂 Can’t wait to see that space you’re working on!
Love it, I need one like it for my craft room 🙂
Love your light! Hope you got good sleep last night 🙂
that is a cool light! I saw something similar that I pointed out to hubby, and he thought I had lost my mind. hahaha

Love this. I think I need it. Yes. I need it. I love the simple lines and the texture of it.
Super cool Angie!! You rock!!
Good project and will likely sell. It’s just a little too “beyond” rustic for me though.
