I seriously don’t know how I accumulate so many old bed headboards, but I still have few more in my workshop that I’ve never done anything with. They are like stray puppies that follow me home. I needed the posts from the side of this headboard to use on a tiered stand, so my husband cut those off, leaving me the main part of the headboard to work with. This piece is identical to the chalkboard I made a few years ago, that included the legs.
I loved the antique wreath graphic that I used on my seed bag pillow, and it seemed like the perfect shape for the sides of the headboard. It came from an antique piano advertisement bookmark that I shared here.
I cut a vinyl stencil, then spent the next 20 minutes trying to get it placed correctly. That’s always the part I like least about stenciling. Once it looked right close enough, I gently sponged some white paint over it.
I distressed the edge, and a bit over the wreath image. I’m thrilled how it turned out. It’s available in my shop here.
Hi Angie … cute welcome sign … I like the wreath on it. You are always so creative.
Shipping those large items is not fun. Do you do you own packing?
Have a great week.

For me, they will never go out of style. I think they have become a new classic. I do love your stuff and hope to sell some things so I can buy for myself a little. I so love your style.
Angie,
Great Idea!! Love it!!

Oh I love it… chalkboard, wreath, beautiful! Great minds think alike this week with wreaths! 🙂
Love your new chalkboard. I think they are here to stay for a little while!

I love your chalkboard and I agree with you that they are great! I just repurposed an old headboard too-into a coat rack. Have a good week!
At every garage sale I went to last week, I was on the hunt for a headboard. I did see some, and I liked them but they all had that word on them that tells me I’m too late…. SOLD.
That is too cute! You always have such wonderful ideas!

Love it, Angie!!
