A few weeks ago, one of my very sweet readers named Maggie, contacted me and said she wanted to send me a packet of antique ephemera. They bought an old dresser with an attached mirror, and when they removed the mirror to transport it, they discovered this stash of ephemera used as a “cushion” between the mirror and the mirror back board. One of the items found there was this really neat poster from 1915 announcing a high school and grammer school championship, which included a band concert and dancing. Isn’t it wonderful that it got packed away all those years, and preserved so well?
Thanks so much to Maggie for sending me this wonderful piece of history. I plan to share more of the ephemera in the future!
This is my first time to comment on a blog. You mentioned how much you appreciated comments. Sooo I need to let you know how much I adore your style
and ideas. It makes my day “SWEET”!!! Thanks
Rita, I truly can’t express how much it means to me when a reader takes the time to leave a comment. Comments really are the only way I know that someone visited and enjoyed what they saw, and those comments are what make blogging worthwhile. You truly brightened my day!
It is a glorious sunny day here and I hope that I get a blessing in the form of something that I can love and enjoy like you do the ephemera you received. I also can’t wait until you start showing us the fab things you will make using different items. Love your style!
Thanks for all your inspiration. Keep it coming. Thanks, lynn
