Make Rustic Christmas Shelf with Scrap Wood

Well, with Thanksgiving behind us, it’s now the time that sends terror into the hearts of procrastinators around the world (like myself).

It’s officially the Christmas season.

It’s officially the Christmas season and I haven’t bought one. single. gift.

… No, not one.

So, did I rush out to hit Black Friday sales today?

Heck no!

In true procrastinator style, I stayed home and ate leftovers, and tried to figure out where I hid all of my Christmas cd’s last year, because I can’t get serious about Christmas if I’m not listening to John Denver’s Christmas music 🙂

I won’t truly freak out until it’s December 15th.

If I still don’t have gifts purchased by then, I may do what smart Christmas procrastinators do.

I’ll  buy a bunch of gift cards.

So, while I continue my search for the missing music,  and eat more pumpkin pie and deviled eggs, I invite you to come join me over at My Repurposed Life, where I’m sharing the tutorial to make this  pallet wood scrap Christmas shelf!  It would make a great Christmas stocking hanger

(Hint – you’ll be able to use it for Valentines Day too!)

In case you missed it yesterday, here’s the tutorial I shared to make the cute little gingham and brown paper ornaments.

  1. Oh, super cute shelf…I’ll have to go check out the tutorial! Had to laugh at your post because it sounds soooooo much like me…I am like an ostrich around this time of year, always hiding my head in the sand, thinking if I ignore it, it might go away…hehe! I’m feeling a little better now that I found my favourite Christmas CD mix, though! 🙂
