How to Make a Farmhouse Pallet Wood Sign

Farmhouse Pallet Wood Sign

This is a project I made a few months ago but forgot to publish.

Nothing much to update on my health.  I’m continuing with my therapy each week and am making good progress.

Supplies Needed (affiliate links included):

Pallet wood boards

1″ pan head screws

Wood stain

Chip brush

Stencil or freehand paint your design

Stencil brush

The steps are exactly the same as my DIY Pallet Wood Bath Tub Table, with whatever dimensions you’d like your sign to be.

I wanted a fairly large one for my kitchen, so mine is about 24″ x 36″.

STEPS:

  • Measure your pallet boards, cut them, and connect them together.
  • Paint or stain the front and sides.  I stained mine.
  • Freehand paint words, or use a stencil.
  • Seal with wax or other sealer.
  • Add hangers to the back and it’s done!

I used 1″ screws to connect the backing pallet boards to the front pallet boards.

Use a chip brush and throw it away when done.  Wood stain is impossible to rinse out.  I buy really inexpensive bulk packs of them, so I always have them on hand.
