Whip up a set of these Chalk Couture Farmhouse Style Slate DIY Coasters in just minutes. It’s so easy to do and they would make great gifts!
I am SO glad I bought the Farmhouse transfer set because I made yet another project with them.
If you missed the other projects, you can see them all HERE.
I’m still not done, because you can never have too much farmhouse, in my opinion that is!
Supplies needed (affiliate links included to help you find the products I used):
- Slate Drink Coasters
- Farmhouse Transfer Set
- Chalk Couture Ink ( I used White.)
- Squeegee (I used the angled squeegee, but the small would work too.)
- Stir Stix
Directions:
- Remove transfer backing and press the transfer on a microfiber towel a few times to “fluff” it so it doesn’t stick permanently.
- Place on the coaster.
- Put painter’s tape around the edge of the transfer.
- Apply Chalk Couture Ink at the edge of the transfer.
- Use a squeegee to drag the paste across the transfer, making sure to cover screen print area of design.
- Remove transfer and clean so you can use it again.
I taped off the edge of the slate coaster to make sure none would get anywhere but inside the transfer area.
Guess I didn’t have the camera on the tripod tightened up enough, so the camera drifted and you can’t see the whole coaster. But you get the idea that I dragged the ink from one side of the transfer to the other.
You can see a bit of the slate pulled up with the transfer, but it didn’t harm it and I was able to remove most of it off the transfer so I could reuse it again.
The one on the right below has been sprayed with satin sealer; the one on the left hasn’t.
I love how these DIY coasters turned out and they were super easy to make!
