How to Make a DIY Vintage Truck DIY T-Shirt: Chalking Series, Project 10

Making a Chalk Couture Vintage Truck DIY T-Shirt!

Today, I thought I’d give you a peak at my craft room before I show you the project that I finished.

My husband hung a barnwood display shelf and I used clip magnets to hang new transfers.

I use my previous kitchen table as a work station and have more supplies hanging on the barn gate headboard on another wall.

I also have a free-standing rack that I use to hold more supplies, along with my Stair Step Pallet Shelf that holds all my Dixie Belle paints.

You might recognize that corrugated metal wall.  It was the back wall where the bed was when it used to be my guest room.

It might look more familiar in the photo below of my Woodland Christmas Guest Room Tour.

Okay, back to my vintage truck T-shirt.

I picked up a baseball T-shirt and positioned the transfer on the front.

Taping all around the transfer ensures that no ink gets outside.

Excuse the wonky angle of the photos.  My husband took them.  He tried!

Here it is all finished.  I let the ink dry completely then heat set it with my iron for four minutes.  You have to turn the shirt inside out and do the inside too.

I could not wait to put it on.

This is probably as close as I’ll get to owning a vintage truck, but I love my new SUV!

I just have to say, my team is awesome!

One member created a bunch of amazing signs, invited friends to her home to shop, sold three of them, and received orders for three more!  She’s also hosting an informational for others who are interested in joining Chalk Couture.

She doesn’t have a blog or any social media at all.  She’s just sharing her love of Chalk Couture while saving 40% on any products she buys.  She’s earning on the items she makes and sells, as well as on the products she sells to others.

Another team member is selling signs and decor in her Etsy shop.

There are many ways to sell Chalk Couture.

I hope to send that vintage truck transfer to one of you!

Vaya con Dios,

Angie

  1. Angie! I need this shirt(for Brady) but I need it with the words Pickup Man underneath the truck. Can you make one for me to buy? FYI we will be at the college over there (John Woods?) on Saturday October 13th for Brady to play baseball at Noon. Let me know if you’ll be around and if you can make that for me!!! Or shoot. Just sell me the transfer and some paste and if I bring a shirt maybe I can get a personalized how to class!!
