DIY Farmhouse Signs On the Workbench & In the Shop

In this post: DIY Farmhouse Signs It’s been a few years since I’ve written “On the workbench” post.  Since Christmas is long over, I needed to restock my Etsy shop. I also plan to start offering Chalk Couture local workshops, so I needed to make some sample projects.

Home Key Hook | Home Is Where You Hang Your Keys

In this post: A Home Key Hook because Home Is Where You Hang Your Keys A few months ago, my husband asked if I would make a key hook.  That was a very reasonable request since he hangs his keys with the measuring spoons and I go on a goose chase to find where I put mine. I was in the midst of my 15 Days of Chalking projects, so I didn’t have time to do it just then.  But then {Read More}

Farmhouse Wood Tote DIY

Farmhouse Wood Tote DIY Sometimes when you sell handmade items and have one item that sells really well, it can be both a blessing … and I won’t say a curse, but kind of close. Such is the case with the handmade wood totes my husband and I made. Last I checked, we had made and sold over 50 of them.  That’s a lot of totes that take a fair amount of time to make. DIY Scripture Sign Be Courageous: Chalking Series Project 12

DIY Scripture Sign Be Courageous: Chalking Series Project 12 Yesterday was my firstborn son’s birthday.  It’s hard to believe that it was 28 years ago that I became a parent for the first time.  I feel kind of sorry for him because he was a bit like a guinea pig teaching me everything I didn’t know about being a mom. He survived though and grew into a wonderful young man who now has a beautiful wife. His favorite Bible verse {Read More}

Upcycled Dollar Tree DIY Halloween Glass Jars

Upcycled Dollar Tree DIY Halloween Glass Jars Happy Monday evening, everyone! A few days ago while at Dollar Tree unsuccessfully looking for more potholders, in the same aisle I found these small jars. I’d say they are about one- or two-cup size.  They are similar to old-fashioned candy jars that can either stand up straight or tilted. I can never walk out of there empty-handed, so I bought them.
