Christmas Jingle Bells Shadow Box

In this post: A DIY Christmas Jingle Bells Shadow Box

Last week, I was at the dollar store and spotted bags of gold, red, and green jingle bells.   I had no idea what I would do with them, but rather than ignore them and move on, I knew I just had to do something with them.  I bought the red and green ones.  They had more green than red, so I got three sizes of the green and just one of the red.

My next stop was Hobby Lobby, and there in the unfinished wood aisle, I figured it out!

On a shelf near the wood words was a small shadow box.

Bingo!  Instantly, I knew what I would do with those bells.

Now I had everything I needed!  I knew I had the rest of the supplies I needed at home.

I couldn’t wait to get started once I got back.

First, I removed the frame and painted it with white paint.  I did the same with the inside of the box and let both dry.

If anything good can be said about winter, it’s that paint will dry quickly when the heater is running.

I put all the bells in the shadow box and waited for that WOW.

But … it didn’t happen.  Don’t get me wrong – It looked cute but lacked something.

For a few moments, I pondered how to give it that “wow” factor I wanted.

If you saw my wood gift tags or bandana napkins, you know what I came up with.

I just needed some JOY🙂

I stuck the joy transfer on the glass and applied red chalk paste.

It’s jingling all the way now!

I’m really happy with how it turned out.  It just makes me smile.

If you like it as well, I’d appreciate it if you pinned and shared on Facebook.  Thanks!
