Make your own rustic and adorable Fall Farmhouse Pumpkin Patch Pallet Box to use as a centerpiece, coffee table decor, or for a party decoration!
Now that we’re over halfway through August, it’s a good time to start removing summer decor and switching it out for some fall farmhouse decor.
My table centerpieces can’t be large, so I wanted a fairly small one for fall.
I decided to reuse a pallet box I already have.
Supplies needed for this project:
- pallet box (handmade or store bought)
- foam brick
- floral moss (if needed)
- raffia
- mini pumpkins
If you recall, I scored a bunch of handmade pallet boxes early in the spring.
After sanding, staining, and adding “farm fresh” to one side, I put faux flowers inside for a centerpiece.
Those words came from the Farmers Market Rooster transfer that I used to make this sign.
It’s coming back for one day only on Sept 16th at 9 am MST . They will sell out FAST, so grab one from my Chalk Couture Shop HERE.
You’ll find it under Specials and Deals.
Back to the project …
I love it, but now it’s time to change it up for Autumn!
Of course, you can just buy a pallet box or use a small drawer if you don’t want to make one.
Most supplies came from Dollar Tree.
Use floral moss to fill gaps around the foam block.
For the next step, you’ll need sharp, strong scissors.
Insert the scissor blades in the fold of the raffia and cut on the fold.
Repeat on the other end.
Once both ends are cut, snip the piece that tied it all together.
If you cut the tie first, it starts to unwind and is harder to keep hold of.
Next, start snipping shorter pieces to look like hay.
I bought three packs, but only needed one.
I googled and found this pumpkin patch metal sign online.
So I designed my own farm fresh pumpkins sign in similar style.
To mount my mini pumpkin sign, I used a section of a stem that I had saved from a faux flower.
The ones with metal inside them are stiff and handy to save for another use, like this.
Just glue the sign on and push the stem in the foam.
Now add mini pumpkins for a super cute and rustic centerpiece that can easily be changed for winter!
It looks like a pumpkin patch way back behind the crate, but that’s actually a field of soybeans.
This pallet box is available with the decorations in my Etsy shop HERE.
Vaya con Dios,
Angie
