I love old milk bottles and their printed caps
have such a wholesome, yesteryear look, so I thought
it would be fun to share a few I have with you.
The nice thing about having the image of the real thing
is that although milk caps are small, you can take
the image and make it much larger, so there are a lot
of projects you could use the images for.
I like the red, white and blue colors on this one.
The caps always had staples that kept the pull tab
from tearing off the cap – this one has some very rusty staples.

This cap was from a bottle of creamer.

In this image, I grouped them all together, as an easy printable. Just copy and paste it into Word, or another program, and print, or have it printed somewhere like Staples on photo paper, for a really crisp image with great color.
Here’s a project I created with one of these images.
I just used TAP (Transfer Artist Paper) to transfer
the image (in reverse) onto osnaburg fabric.
It is available at Knick of Time on Etsy, along
with several other designs.

Angie, thank you, thank you, for posting these! I’ve been searching with futility for a round American graphic for a table top I want to paint. Thanks to Pat, at Corn in my Coffee Pot, who spotted this post right away and alerted me to your graphics, I think I will be able to finally get the table done! That is if I can figure out how to enlarge one of them enough. Anyway, I do so appreciate you sharing these. I’m very excited to try and paint one. They are fabulous, each of them, and they evoke exactly the feel I wanted. Now I just have to do the hard work of making a decision about which to use. 🙂
