Vintage Flash Cards Printables for Christmas

Do you all still love old flash cards as much as I do?  You would think that I would have found an old set, with all the auctions, antique stores, and flea markets I go to, but I’ve still not found any. Until then, I just have fun designing my own sets that look like vintage flash cards. It’s so easy to customize them with any words I want on them, so I created some Christmas flash card printables to share {Read More}

DIY Christmas Sign and Mrs. Claus Printable

 I may not love to cook and bake, but I do love cooking up new projects and printables to share with you all, and I’m really excited with how adorable my latest DIY Christmas sign turned out! I had so many sweet compliments on the Mrs. Claus Cookie Company wooden sign I made, that I decided to design a printable chalkboard sign version that anyone can print for themselves, without needing to mess with making a stencil or painting.  I’m also including {Read More}

Farm Store Painted Sign

I’ve had paint “fever” lately.  Some weeks I want to do nothing but repurpose old book pages, some weeks I just want to fuss around with old metal junk, and other weeks, I want to paint everything in sight.  Fortunately, I have a fairly good stock of salvaged wood to work with, so I sorted through my supply, and spotted a side rail from an old bed.  That would do nicely for a painted sign. I had just received a {Read More}

Santa’s Sleigh Printables in Plaid, Burlap, French Script, & Corrugated Cardboard

  I have some fun printables for you today!  It is Santa’s sleigh in black and red plaid, burlap, corrugated cardboard, and French script. I think these would be adorable with a little glitter added around the edge, and hung as ornaments.  They could also be used as gift tags, or strung as a banner.  They are PNG images, so you can use them digitally as well.

O Come, All Ye Faithful – Printable Vintage Christmas Music Page

Last night, I went to a women’s event with my friend at her church.  Women from the church act as table hostesses, and they each decorate their table very festively for Christmas.  The guests enjoy a meal, a short devotional, and some special Christmas music from the church musicians and singers.  At the end of the evening, the final song they sang was, “O Come, All Ye Faithful”.  It was a lovely rendition of the song, with parts of it {Read More}

Front Door Makeover!

I have an ugly front door.  Admittedly, the dead mums aren’t helping, but still, it’s ugly.  It’s a sturdy metal door, but that’s about all that can be said for it.  It’s gotten dented, and marked up, and it’s just very bland looking. A few months ago, I asked my husband if I could paint our ugly front door.  He said he didn’t care, so I went online, searching for inspiration to decide what color to paint it, and I spotted {Read More}

How to Get the Look of Antique Wooden Embellishments

I have a thing for antique bed headboards and footboards, and have been fortunate to get quite a few of them at auctions at prices that blew me away.  Unfortunately, none of them were the right size for my bed, and they are hard to sell online, because the shipping often costs more than what I charge for them. This was an antique headboard that I turned into a coat rack (more about it here).  Not only did it have a {Read More}

Antique Advertisement Printables

Has anyone gotten sick in your house yet?  My youngest son started sniffling, sneezing and coughing over Thanksgiving, and I had only 1 cough drop in the house.  It’s time to stock up for the winter season.  I thought that this antique advertisement for cough drops would be fun to print out and use on a get well card, or even as bathroom wall art.  It came from a 1918 magazine. {CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE}   I removed the {Read More}
