Angie, you continue to feature hymns that tug at my heart and bring me comfort. I love these old songs, and love to sing them in church. It’s so sad each time the new hymnals come out and the older hymns slowly disappear.
I agree . . . Why do they always sing new songs . . . not that I don’t like the new songs, but let us not forget the old and wonderful hymns of the past. It kind of reminds be of the song we use to sing in Girl Scouts . . .Make new friends but keep the old . . . one is silver and the other is gold. It is the same with these songs . . . lets remember to keep the gold.
