Today, I have some beautiful alphabet images from an 1800’s schoolbook, called, the “Tract Primer”.
Antique flashcards are so popular right now, so these pages could be printed, cut apart, and framed as a flashcard. They would also be lovely as framed art in child’s room.
The inside cover page has such a sweet image on it.
I have many more images from antique school books HERE.

So glad to find this. My grandmother, born in 1912 used to tell me that this book and these letters were how she learned the alphabet. Thanks
When I was in Colmar, France a few weeks ago I found an old vintage French to English Grammar book, I post on my instagram!
What a better nation we would be if this were still how children learned the alphabet!
Lots of ideas could come out of these . . . just as lots of learning probably did!
I love these! I think I’m going to print them off for my son’s room!
oooh thank you!! i’m totally putting this in my dollhouse school! it’s perfect!
