Antique Graphics Wednesday – Grain Sacks Textures

I love old grain sacks (well, who doesn’t?!),
but they aren’t always easy to find at reasonable prices.
If you can’t have the real thing, a great imitation is the next best thing,
so today I’m sharing a few images of portions of
antique grain sacks, and will be sharing some projects
I’ve created with these images throughout the rest of the week.
You can use these images over and over
without spending a fortune!
You are welcome to use any of these images for your personal use,
but they are copyright protected, so please do not sell them or copy them.
I love the stripes on this old grain sack.
I used most of it making a new seat cushion for a chair, but
I love this remnant and it has frequently been used in photos.
If you look closely at the right side of my header image, you’ll notice that this remnant
has been on my blog for quite some time.
I also used the image to create my new sidebar graphics.
I just cropped the image to the size I needed.
It was also the inspiration for my restyled footstool I shared with you HERE,
although I did different sizes of stripes on the stool.
This remnant has some tattered spots that were never patched.
I have another old grain sack remnant with tons of wear and lots of patches on it.
Here’s a few views of one of the patches.
A close-up of the little patch – too cute!
And another patch that was done with denim.
Here’s a close-up of the patch.
Come back tomorrow to see the first of several projects
I created with some of these grain sacks images (seen HERE, HERE, and HERE)!
Blessings,
