The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Thanks for sharing about grace…it’s so powerful and transforming. I have been really pressing into the understanding of faith for quite awhile now. Faith is something to be activated and used in order to qualify as faith. When we are in situations that require faith, we tend to complain, but it’s so needed in order for us to be faithful! Thanks for your post. 🙂
Your sign is so sweet. Those are words that soothe our souls. Thanks for your thought-provoking post.

I lOVE that song! One of my favs 🙂
My ‘challenge’ word for the year is ‘Joy’. So when it see it in my scripture reading – I’m taking notice. This week – I noticed there is a reason, as a believer, to be joyful in trials… it can bring about a perfecting of me. And that’s a good thing!
Looks great! Love your milk & cream one too!! I might have to steal that one. 😉 http://junkparlor.blogspot.com
I love your sign – and the inspiration! This Chris Tomlin version is one of my favorites. I especially like the “My chains are gone . . .” section. Makes your soul sing!
I just realized you were hosting this little party and absolutely love it! You’re such an inspiration…I Love everything you touch!

Your post and sign actually gave me goosebumps ~ my Father was a wonderful man of God and this was his favorite song ~ when he passed away we had a bagpipe player stand up on a hill and play this song ~ I don’t think I ever cried so hard in my life but it was such a wonderful legacy of faith and love that he left behind.
Thanks so much for this beautiful post and sign ~ featured you at Project Inspire{d}.
Have a week filled with God’s blessings,
Hugs, Mary Beth
Love the song and the sign 🙂
