Aren’t you glad that Jesus takes us “as I am”, and doesn’t expect us to have our act all together. He knows every single thing about us – every good and bad thing we’ve ever done, and loves us despite it all. Only God can love like that. The wonderful thing is, God doesn’t want us to stay in the same mess he found us in. He wants us to change and become more like him.
Though conviction rarely feels good when we experience it, it’s true love being shown to us, that God cares enough about us to send up red warning flags when we are straying off his path. I personally felt his conviction this week, when I was letting Satan take charge of my thoughts and mouth. Right away, God starting reminding me that my thoughts and words were just plain sinful. My mouth needs to be used for encouragement and spreading the gospel…and not much else. Unfortunately, I frequently let it get the better of me. How was your week? Please share!
Blessings,
Angie

Thanks for sharing and the linky, Angie. Our thoughts are the hardest to control sometime.
I guess the devil knows right where he can get us. Sometimes just singing hymns can chase him away from us. Have a great week. ~betty
