Take the Scenic Route – Antique Automobile Window Sign

I love it when I stumble across something unique at a yard sale or flea market, that I know I’m unlikely to come across again.  A few weeks ago, I got an antique car windshield at a yard sale and that was definitely the first time I’d ever found one of those.

The man selling it had several of them, but the rest had broken pieces off the glass, so I only purchased this one.

I debated a few different sayings to paint on it but decided on “Take the Scenic Route” because I love getting off a well-traveled (and usually boring) highway and seeing the sights on back-country roads instead.

Over the weekend, I drove a few hours away and went to a vintage market with my cousins, taking the back road coming and going.  I never tire of seeing the scattered farmhouses and the rural scenery.  Later this week, I’ll show you the things I brought home from the trip.

Blessings,

  1. Angie, I am so glad you had a nice week-end with your cousins. Can’t wait to see what you bought. I just know you will do some exciting things with everything. Love the sign … just so perfect for an antique car windshield. I am sure it has seen a lot of Scenic Routes.
