During the drive to Arkansas to pick up my son last week, while my older son was driving, I was busy working on another Christmas project. I hope you aren’t sick of seeing them, because I just can’t seem to stop working on them. I wanted to make another canvas project, like the family photo I did on canvas a few months ago, but with a chalkboard Christmas image instead.
To design the printable, I used my chalkboard background (found here), and faded the color tone a bit, so it’s more of a gray color, then designed the wording from the old Christmas song, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”.
I know I mention Staples a lot, but I do not receive any compensation for mentioning them, I just love all the prints I get made there, and their prices are so reasonable. I had them print the 2nd image below as an engineering print, which costs only a few dollars.
It was kind of funny, because when I went to have it printed, I started second-guessing the spelling of the word, “pealed”, and when I mentioned it out loud, 3 of the employees from Staples jumped in, trying to decide whether “pealed” or “peeled” was the correct spelling, until one of them finally Googled it on his cell phone. I’d second-guess the spelling of my own name if I thought about it too much, so this is a common occurrence for me!

This is the 8-1/2 x 11″ size printable page, which is perfect to put in a frame, although you’ll need to trim a little of the gray area off the sides to fit it in an 8×10 opening.
This is the image you’ll need to make a larger, engineering print. Click on it, to view and save it full size.
To turn it into a wall canvas, follow the tutorial found HERE.

Angie, you and I have some of the same ideas and likes!! I never get tired of Christmas! I work on projects all year long with a Christmas theme, along with Patriotic and Fall things! I love these ideas of yours, thank you so much for sharing.!!! I like the Shrink ornaments idea, too, am always looking for more things to use it for…. seems a shame to not use it. I made wine charms with different themes for my last shrink project, colored them with marker pens.
