I’ve remodeled my fair share of farmhouse bathrooms over the years, some long before I ever started blogging, so I thought this would be a great theme for Farmhouse Friday this week.
If you’ve ever thought about giving your bathroom a farmhouse makeover, you’ll find loads of ideas here for inspiration.
Farmhouse Bathrooms Design and DIY Project Inspiration
The first project we undertook when we moved into our home was remodeling the bathroom (see the full remodel HERE).
Several years went by, and I decided I wanted to lighten things up, so I gave the room a makeover again
Then we got a new faucet, which gave me the wild hair to give the vanity and mirror a makeover too.
(See the vanity makeover HERE).
And then, we remodeled our other bathroom into a “men’s room”
See that remodel here).
Now let’s look at some other amazing remodels & bathroom projects.
Shades of Blue – Rachel’s remodeled bathroom at Shades of Blue is amazing with a modern farmhouse style.
A simple peg rack is perfect to hang towels in a farmhouse bathroom – via Apartment Therapy.
Jenna Sue Design Co – Jenna at Jenna Sue Design Co. transformed a small antique buffet into a vanity with a weathered wood finish.
DIY Showoff – Most of us do some “multi-taking” in the bathroom, and this toilet paper holder by Roeshel at DIY Showoff has a built-in shelf to provide a place to set the phone down between tasks! 🙂
DD’s Cottage turned a buffet turned into a gorgeous bathroom vanity.
Beyond the Picket Fence – Becky at Beyond the Picket Fence turned the top of an old ladder into an adorable towel holder.
Breida with a B. – I love this farmhouse remodel by Breida with a B. that has pops of red throughout.
Funky Junk – Donna at Funky Junk used fun elements like a ladder for a towel rack, rulers around the mirror, and old license plates on the vanity in her salvaged farmhouse bathroom.

Home Depot (not an affiliate link) – I love this gray vanity paired with the aqua walls in this bathroom.
The Lettered Cottage – Layla at The Lettered Cottage created a “the sky’s the limit” theme in this lovely remodeled bathroom, that includes a ladder towel rack, and a dresser converted into a vanity. I love that that she even has a blue Ball jar towel to match the jar used as a flower vase.
Thistlewood Farm – My favorite part of this farmhouse bathroom by KariAnne at Thistlewood Farm (aside from the fact that it’s gorgeous) is all the storage available, from the shelf lined with wicker baskets, to the milk crate holding towels.
For those who love an industrial vibe, adding a partial brick wall in the bathroom is a great idea – via Country Living.
Adding shutters on bathroom windows gives privacy, and can look amazing – via Apartment Therapy.
