Chalk Couture No Drama Llama Painted Sign + Free Samples: Chalking Series Project #5
That was a mouthful!
Today is a big day! Before I show you today’s project and tell you about the free samples I’m giving away, I have some exciting news!
Check out our AMAZING Holiday Celebrations Suite!! We are releasing 25 new transfers! These transfers include Christmas, Winter, Hanukkah, and Valentines Day!!! I’ve been eagerly awaiting these new designs and have already ordered some.
Click below to watch a sneak peek!
Now it’s time to make an adorable No Drama Llama sign!
He’s so cute!
Side note – I used to live down the road from a llama farm in New Mexico. My son and his new wife live there now and she was so excited to discover it.
I wanted to make a sign that could either go in a girl’s or boy’s room.
I painted some scrap pine board with Dixie Belle’s Yankee Blue. Their paint works great for chalking on!
Just remember to wax the board the first before applying the transfer.
I always use Easy Peasy Spray Wax, also from Dixie Belle. You just spray it on, then buff with a lint-free cloth and let it dry for about 10 minutes. It doesn’t leave a film like other waxes and dries faster.
*DO NOT use it to seal your signs after chalking. It’s water-based and will remove the chalk paste.
I didn’t bother cutting away the mouth, nose, and ears part of the transfer because I wasn’t going to use them.
They are intended to layer over the main part and chalk in another color, but you don’t have to.
I used white Chalkology paste and a minute later, it was done!
To frame the sign, I hot glued white pom-pom trim around the edge.
Done! And it was so easy. From start to finish, about one hour.
Now on to the free samples!
The sample kits will include one mini Chalk Couture transfer, one sample of Chalkology Paste (random colors), and one mini squeegee, plus a Chalkable Round Chip ready to chalk a cute little creation on!
Before trying the sample, make sure to read this post so you know how to use them to get the best results.
I have a limited supply of the free samples, so only those who follow my Knick of Time Chalk Designs Facebook page and leave a comment below will be eligible to receive the free samples. I’m expecting these samples to go quick!
Lastly, Chalk Couture is a rapidly growing company, but it’s only a little over one year old. So there is tons of room to grow with it whether you want to earn some extra money or save 40% on everything to create beautiful decor for your home or to sell!
Or maybe you want to make gifts for friends and family. Whatever the reason, now is a great time to join Chalk Couture for only $99.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I’d be happy to help!
