Last week I scored an oak entertainment center on Facebook Marketplace and I had plans for it! I wanted to make some cabinet door repurposed signs.
It had two large doors and two small doors. I haven’t decided what I’ll do with the large doors yet.
The small doors were two pieces hinged together, so I could actually make two signs with each of them. I was going to have fun!
Two sides had knobs and the other two didn’t. This one had a scratch but I knew that wouldn’t matter.
On both doors with knobs, I used the Home transfer. It includes the words “home” and “family,” along with the definitions of each.
The knobs are perfect for hanging keys, but I hung a little bucket with faux greenery inside.
On one of the longer doors I added the “family” definition. The other door like it has a hole in it, so I’m going to fill the hole and paint it so I can make one more sign.
The only thing I needed to do to all the other doors was wax them before adding the transfers to protect the transfers. I finished all of them in under 20 minutes!
That’s what I love about Chalk Couture. You can make handmade decor that turns out beautiful in a matter of minutes.
The transfers can be used on almost any surface. Wood, metal, glass, and of course, chalkboards.
Here’s the same design on a box frame.
The “grandchildren” sign I made quickly sold but I had a cut piece of pine so I stained it and made another photo display sign.

I just wanted to let you know that I ordered one of your “Grandchildren” signs and it arrived today. It is even prettier in person. I’ve already found a place and put it up. I’m so glad that I got it before it sold out.
I’m so glad you like it Karen!
