Hey, everyone! I’m back with a new Dollar Tree project. This time it’s a Dollar Tree Pizza Pan Repurposed Tray!
A few weeks ago when I was in Dollar Tree getting the supplies for the farmhouse style DIY chalkboard, I picked up a pizza pan along with a few other items.
Almost everyone would use a pizza pan for baking pizza, but I envisioned turning it into a tray instead. I knew I had everything else needed at home.
Next time you’re at Dollar Tree, pick up a pizza pan and have fun transforming it!
Dollar Tree Pizza Pan Mom’s Diner Tray Supplies: *Affiliate links included
- 2 Drawer Pulls
- Spray Paint
- E6000 glue
- Stencil or Transfer (optional)
- Paint or Chalk Paste
- Squeegee or stencil brush
Instructions:
-
- Paint the pizza pan. I did one coat using Paint &Primer and let it dry overnight.
- Figure out where to position it to allow room for the handles. I put them above and below the design.
- Fuzz the transfer several times and apply it to the selected area.
- Press down to seal the silkscreen area.
- Use the small squeegee to apply the paste over the silkscreen area. Make sure all the silkscreen area is covered.
- Squeegee off the excess and put it back into the paste container to use later.
- After it has dried, apply a clear coat to seal the tray.
- After chalking and letting it dry, attach the handles with E6000 and let dry at least four hours.
I used the Mom’s Diner transfer with red chalk paste for the look of an old diner sign.
Chalk Couture is one of my favorite ways to personalize my home.
I love turning inexpensive things into high-end looking decor.
