Rustic Farmhouse Christmas Cabinet Door Sign
I know, it’s insanely early to be thinking about Christmas.
But craft stores are already discounting fall items and bringing in Christmas decor, so that tells me I need to start stocking my Etsy shop with Christmas items too.
That’s why you will be seeing Christmas projects popping up here on the blog.
Several months ago, I had made four signs on cabinet doors and listed them in my Etsy shop.
After more than six months without them selling, I decided to do something different with this one.
First, I sanded all of the words and painted the whole door black.

Next it was time to give it Christmas style – buffalo check, of course, with the Mini Buffalo Plaid Transfer.
The whole transfer measures 18″ x 18″, but I cut mine in half.
That makes it more manageable on smaller projects.
The other half, I also cut in half for much smaller projects, like these letter bookends.
It was hard choosing between black and white or black and red checks. I love them both.
White checks seem more like fall decor.
In the end, I decided on using Candy Apple Red Chalk Paste for a Christmas sign.
Now for some joyful metal bling! The metal letters came from Hobby Lobby.
Probably any craft store would have something similar.
Before I could put them on the sign, I glued three dice in each letter. The small tabs weren’t enough area to glue on, but adding dice gave more surface area and really helped.
E-6000 was used to glue each letter in place.
Then I weighted them down with books and let them dry overnight.
If you’re interested in this sign, it’s available in my Etsy shop HERE with FREE shipping!
If you enjoyed this project, I would really appreciate it if you pinned it on Pinterest or shared it on Facebook.
Thanks so much!
Vaya con Dios,
Angie
