How to Make a New Basket Look like a French Antique Basket
It must be the mountain of dirty clothes in my laundry room, that has inspired me to work on laundry baskets lately. Mind, you, it hasn’t inspired me to wash, dry, and put away the mountain of clothes, it has just made me want nicer baskets to put it all in. Except for the industrial style laundry cart I finished for my son last week, the rest of our laundry baskets are all plastic, and there are never enough of them.
an Upcycled Dresser
Last week was a super tiring week. My husband and I took one of our college kids back to school, which was a 16 hour drive there and back. My husband did 95% of the driving, but I stayed awake most of the time, and have’t slept well since we got back home, and it’s catching up with me now. I hope to get a really good night’s sleep tonight, because I have a full agenda planned for this week, {Read More}
Free Printable French Graphics – Front and Back of Postcard
Today I have some new free printable French Graphics for you. The first is a beautiful antique postcard, showing a peasant farmer with his pair of yoked oxen, pulling a wooden wagon that is piled high with stacks of what appears to be hay. You can see he was in town, so he must have been delivering his hay to a market. It has a sepia color tone. This would make a beautiful framed image or enlarged as an engineering {Read More}
DIY Industrial Laundry Cart
Teenage boys being teenage boys, my son is a slob with his dirty clothes. They are generally strewn around his room, only making it to the laundry room when he runs out of clean clothes, or I threaten him. Ever since we remodeled our laundry room, I’ve had my eye on industrial style laundry carts. like this one. {source}

Antique Farmhouse Table Makeover
I bought an antique farmhouse table at a small town antique store a few weeks ago. Since it was missing all the leaves, I planned to dismantle it and use it for parts, but once I brought it home, pulled it open, and saw just how huge it is, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Now, we already have a farmhouse table (seen here) that we built with an old cellar door as the top, but I saw a {Read More}
