Today was one of those amazing mail days that don’t happen often, but the latest issue of Romantic Homes was in my mailbox, and I’ve got a feature in it!
I wanted to hug the mailman, but that might have been a tad awkward, so I just acted cool and casual until he drove away.
Then I danced all around my driveway. 🙂
When the Romantic Homes editor, Staci Dumoski contacted me, I freaked out a little.
It wasn’t because I was excited (although I was). It was because I’ve killed, not one, but two computers.
I drowned the first one(don’t laugh – I do most of my blog work while soaking in the tub), and the hard drive crashed on the second one.
I lost a lot of photos and I had no idea whether I’d be able to come up with the full size, high resolution images she wanted.
Learn from my mistakes.
Never prop your leg on your bathtub table to shave while your computer is on it.
Back up your computer regularly.
My husband was able to salvaged some photos from the drowned computer, but all was lost when the hard drive crashed on the second computer.
So, I sent her what photos I could find and hoped she’d like some of them.
Thankfully, she did and included them in a Repurposed Vintage feature.
I’m going to relax and soak in the tub again tonight and enjoy looking through every beautiful page of the rest of the magazine.
I’ll leave my computer on my desk. 🙂
I’ve added a few more items to the 20% off sale I have going in my Etsy shop, including my antique Underwood typewriter.
Thanks to everyone who has already purchased!
The sale ends on Aug.4th, so remember to use the coupon code KNICKOFTIMEFRIENDS when you check out for the discount. The code can only be used on the items below, and the ones I shared HERE. You will receive discounted shipping when you purchase more than one sale item. Please purchase stencils in a separate transaction, as they don’t qualify for the discount.
Click on the highlighted links below to purchase.
*you do need to request a shipping quote before purchasing the typewriter – it’s heavy!

You have a lot of restraint – I would have hugged the mailman AND danced!
LOL – I don’t want to be responsible for a mailman quitting their job, Marci! 🙂
well done
Congratulations to you!!!!
Congrats on the feature, Angie – how exciting is that! Sorry, the leg on the bath tray and the laptop toppling into the water made me laugh. Not funny for you but hilarious reading it and something I could see myself doing for sure. Sounds like it’s time to invest in an external hard drive!
Congratulations. What a fun post.
Congratulations. So well deserved !
Thanks Angie and congratulations, now more people will know how talented you are.
Congrats, Angie!! That is so exciting!
Thanks so much, Meg! 🙂
Congrats on the feature! How wonderful – and the pics look great. And I’m sorry to hear of the computer woes – terrible to loose that much hard work. My sympathies
Somehow, when reading your blog I’ve always pictured you sitting at a vintage desk, or maybe at a farmhouse table happily typing away surrounded by all your cool projects.
I now have a ……different….visual………
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person! Congratulations!
Why, thank you Cat!
