How to DIY a Rusty Sign, Housekeeping Tips & More | Talk of the Town #61

Hey everyone!  Is winter slowly slinking off into its corner where you live?  We’ve had some wind and rain lately, but also some really lovely temperatures that make me want to sing and dance outdoors.  The coyotes might start howling if I did, so I’ll resist the urge.  I’m not a winter person unless I’m sitting indoors watching it snow in the comfort of a snugly blanket, so I’m happily waiving “adios” to it.

We have some exciting things happening in our family, which I’ll be sharing about tomorrow.  So be sure to come back to hear my news.

How’s that for a teaser? 🙂

In other news, did you see what I made for our dog with an aching back?  He loves it, and so do I!

You can check it out HERE.

Okay, enough about the weather, my family, and our dog, because I’ve got some fabulous features to show you.

And I want to give a special shout-out to Susan @ Homeroad!

Susan gave a makeover to a thrift store sign and used my Farm Fresh Milk stencil to make it look like a rusty enamel sign.  You’ll be surprised how she achieved the rusty look!  You can see it HERE.

  8. I hear you Angie about not being a winter person, me neither. Unfortunately, we have at least 4-8 weeks left before any sign of Spring starts to sprout (could use a beach right about now). Thanks for the party and hope your week has been a good one so far.
