I made a quick trip into the grocery store last week for just a few things. Somehow when I wasn’t looking, a bath spa gift jumped into my cart.
Technically speaking, it wasn’t a bath spa gift.
It was a cheap bottle of Italian sparkling soda, but the bottle was a really nice one that could be repurposed.
That alone was worth the couple of dollars I paid, but we got a drink too.
What a bargain! 🙂
I turned it into a fancy jar for bubble bath and put together a blissful lavender theme gift basket.
How to Make a Lavender Theme Bath Spa Gift Basket
with Bubble Bath in a Repurposed Bottle
What you’ll need:
(affiliate links are included for your convenience)
(These are a great price for 6 with free shipping.)
Goo Gone (or other adhesive remover)
(I buy this in bulk inexpensively.)
(if desired)
(You can use any basket or container, but these wash tubs were the perfect size.)
How to Make the bubble bath jar:
~ Soak the bottle to soften the label and rub it off.
~ Use adhesive remover to get the paper remnants and residue off.
~ Mix about 1-2 teaspoons of lavender buds into bubble bath.
~Use a funnel to pour it into the bottle.
~Print the label below and use spray adhesive to adhere it to the bottle.
You can print the label any size. For my bottle, I printed it 3″ x 5″.

I used a label from The Graphics Fairy and added my own text.
I put crumbled paper shred in the wash tub and added the lavender bubble bath, a nice wash cloth, a loofah, a lavender candle, a small bottle of wine, and a little package of chocolate kisses.
It’s the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, a bridal or baby shower, or a get well gift.
Really, it’s perfect for anyone who loves lavender and needs a little rest and relaxation!

Vaya con Dios,
Enjoyed your repurposed bottle craft today.
Thanks so much, Martha!
I love this idea, Angie! I have some of those bottles sitting around waiting for a project!
Thank you for sharing…I’m inspired!
Thanks Linda – I love these bottles with the swing lids. They are so pretty and easy to reuse. I may need to go back and buy more Italian soda!
Love this one Angie. As always, so inventive.
Thanks Sherri! So glad you liked it.
Yep, I too enjoyed reading and seeing how to repurpose a soda bottle into a bubble bath bottle! Of course, I liked the idea of ALL the nice items you added into your washtub, also. How I’d love to get this as a gift!! Still loving your ideas!!!!
Thanks Mare! Most people already have too many knick-knacks, so I like to fill gift baskets with things they will love and use up, without needing to find a place to keep them. The small washtub is the exception, but it is so useful for storage when all the gifts inside are gone.
That’s pretty cute, Angie! I love lavendar. A nice combination of things for a thoughtful gift.
Thanks Naomi – I put things in the gift basket that I love, so I hope the person who receives my gift basket will love it too!
Such a pretty bottle and a nice gift anyone would like to receive.
A relaxing bath and some chocolates… you definitely have the right idea! 🙂
That’s my idea of the perfect way to relax, Donella! 🙂
Angie, I couldn’t have seen this at a better time. I have a bridal shower coming up and I’m thinking putting together something like this would be perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!
