I bought a foam seat cushion at Hobby Lobby, (using a coupon, of course) and stapled the fabric around the cushion, onto a board that was cut to fit the top. The sides were finished off with black twill tape and some upholstery tacks.
I didn’t take a photo of it, but to keep the seat from sliding off the crate, another board was cut that fits inside the crate opening, so it’s slightly smaller than the top board. I stapled more fabric around it, then screwed it to the underside of the cushioned board, so it keeps the seat snugly in place.
I love how this Milk Crate Padded Storage Stool turned out!
If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I have an obsession about using the Milk & Cream image, but in case you missed any of my projects with it, you can see them all here.
Blessings,
Love that! Can you sit on it too or is it just for storage? Love that Milk and Cream image too. Very nice vintage vibe!
Jeanette – yes! It is super sturdy to sit on!
That is a wonderful project…love the graphic…and all of the creative ways you’ve used it!
I like what you did with the milk crate it turned out great.
I would have never thought to do that.
Denise
Look forward to your daily ideas.

Hey Angie
LOVE this! You are so inspiring! I so admire how you put together your re-purposed items. Pinned this one for sure. I actually have two old metal milk crates in my yard just waiting their turn. Tomorrow might be their lucky day 🙂
Your stool is so creative and unique. I love it!
