I’ve mainly been working on Christmas projects, but I had to squeak in just a little bit more of autumn!
I was hanging some decor in our still unfinished entryway (sigh), and I put some antique crates on the wall to use as small shelves.
These are 3 small shipping crates that I connected together several years ago. I’ve used them several different ways.
{You can see how I used them as a spice rack in my kitchen here}
{You can see them as a a paint storage rack here}
They were just the right size to use as display shelves for some small pumpkins, pine cones and wheat.
Yes, my house is feeling a bit confused, with both autumn and Christmas decor, but such is the life when you are a blogger.
I found this set of antique style crates on Amazon that I love, because they have galvanized metal trim on them.
On my way home from Arkansas last weekend, my son ad I stopped at one roadside yard sale, where I scored this awesome rusty kettle.
Isn’t that spout and rusty handle adorable?!
My son walked in with a pot of autumn colored flowers, which fit perfectly inside the kettle.It’s going to be fun filling it with seasonal flowers all year. I’m already looking forward to filling it with flowers in the spring and summer, and my Farm to Market Chalkboard sign will look perfect as a backdrop for any type of flowers I put in the kettle! 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Angie,
I love those crates AND the kettle with the flowers. I’m so not ready for Christmas, so I’m happy to see fall decor.

I was unable to pull up the antique crates through the link and couldn’t find them on Amazon directly. Always enjoy your posts.
Teddee – here’s the correct link for the crates (thanks for pointing it out!) – http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00812GGFC/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00812GGFC&linkCode=as2&tag=knioftim-20&linkId=LROUC5IHXC3ISJCM
