Spring Garden Decorating in the Farmhouse Guest Room

It’s less than a week until the first day of spring, so I removed all traces of winter from my guest house and decorated with a fresh spring garden theme.

I loved my woodland winter theme, but I’m so over winter!

It was so cozy when the weather was freezing outside, but now I’m ready for a brighter and more cheerful look for spring.

I switched out the buffalo check bedding and replaced it with a sage floral quilt. ivory scalloped pillow shamand sage throw pillow.  The quilt and shams are all on sale, so I got a really good deal.

I have the same quilt and matching pillow shams in a navy blue color in my bedroom and love them, so I knew I would love the sage and ivory colors also.

I removed the Silent Night art and left the wall space empty so the flowers would be the focus.

The Fresh Flowers stencil is available HERE.

I used a mix of dried, fresh-cut, and faux flowers throughout the room.

Last fall, I took photos of the guest room for a magazine feature.

I hung fresh roses on one of my old wooden ladders for the photos, then left them to dry.

I’ve put them in an antique milk bottle and love how beautifully they dried.

On the shelf under the table is a lovely spring watercolor quote printable from Craftberry Bush.

The rusty pitchfork and straw hat I used for the magazine feature are getting used again for the spring garden theme.

My old wooden ladder acts as storage for all my clay pots waiting to be filled with flowers.

At the foot of the bed is the military trunk that I gave a makeover to last year.

I removed the evergreen clippings and stringlights from my upcycled clementine crate and replaced it with my DIY farmhouse display drawer to put on the trunk.  It’s holding six-packs of flowers I’ll be planting as soon as it warms up a bit more.

I have so much fun redecorating my guest room each season.

My guest room was a detached old shed before the remodel.  If you missed the remodel, you can see it HERE.

I haven’t decided what look to give it for summer, so if you have suggestions, I’d love the hear them!
