10 Fresh Farmhouse Style Decor Ideas to Renew Your Space

We got home from helping our son and his wife move to New Mexico almost 2 weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to share a few photos ever since.  I also have a great round-up of farmhouse style decor ideas because I know it’s fun to update the look in our home with fresh ideas.

I’ll miss visiting them at the teeny tiny house they lived in in their college town, and I think Pico (my son’s dog) will miss chasing all the squirrels in the park.  I’m sure they’ll discover new parks and hopefully there will be some squirrels there.  With his bad back he’s too slow to actually catch one, but he sure has been trying!

My oldest son and his wife live only about 20 minutes away and we had dinner with them before we headed out of state.  I took a picture of it, but I can’t find it on my camera’s memory card for some reason.  Here’s a photo I took of us eating dinner with my father-in-law once we reached New Mexico.  My father-in-law took this picture, so he isn’t in it.

This is my son and his wife standing outside the office where their new apartment is.  They’re both so thrilled to have more space than their tiny house had.  It’s a very nice apartment complex with a swimming pool and workout room and I know they’ll both use it a lot.  The bummer is that less than a week after they moved in, my daughter-in-law’s car was broken into.  Apparently, they attempted to steal it by sticking a screwdriver in the ignition, which fouled up the electrical system.  I felt so bad that that was her welcome to her new state.

We spent an afternoon in the mountains with them and watched them rock climb.  If you recall, I shared their engagement rock-climbing love story HERE.  It’s so nice that they have a passion that they both share together.

These next few pictures were taken with my sister’s tablet so the quality isn’t the best.

My middle son went up first to anchor the rope, then my daughter-in-law went up, and my youngest son even did it.  He’s climbed several times before with them and did great.  They’re all brave souls in my book!

I was telling my son in this picture to encourage my younger son to come down!  His legs were starting to shake from exhaustion, but he just told me to relax, that he would do fine – and he did.

Enough about my trip.  Now on to the farmhouse style decor ideas!

A few of these I’ve shared in the past, but if you’re a newer reader you may not have seen them.
