Christmas Cookie Sheet Upcycled Memo Board
I survived!
15 days of chalking, that is. 🙂
Granted, it wasn’t 15 days straight, but it was a lot of chalked projects!
Years ago, I had turned a cookie sheet into a chalkboard.
Today I’m going to turn a baking pan into a Christmas cookie sheet upcycled as a memo board.
If that sounds confusing, stay tuned and you’ll soon understand!
It all started when I found this baking pan a thrift store for a buck.

I had just received a new Mrs. Claus’ Candy Shop transfer that I ordered for another project, but it had two little adorable Christmas cookie transfers that came with it and I had light bulb moment … a cookie moment!
When I got home, I got right to work.Â
I pulled out my Barn Red chalk paint from Dixie Belle. I love this color. It’s a little brighter than their Rustic Red and is perfect for Christmas.
One coat brushed on!
Here you see it after the second coat dried with the different transfers I used.
I forgot to take a picture, but I waxed the baking pan with Easy Peasy Spray Wax and buffed it before applying the transfers.
There were a few little clumps of paint that came off the brush I used, so I just made sure that the mesh part of the transfers wasn’t on them before chalking.
Are any of you late-night crafters? If you are, you’ll understand why there aren’t any photos of chalking the transfers. I did it around 2 o’clock in the morning after my husband had left for work.
The larger part of the cookie transfers gets chalked first, then you dry it and do the outline next.
The brush strokes make it look like the pan was greased with butter.
The gingerbread man is so cute!
So what do you think?
Doesn’t it make you want some Christmas cookies?
This Christmas Cookie Sheet Upcycled Memo Board is available in my Etsy shop HERE.
The colors I used to do the words and the cookies were Bright White, Candy Apple, and Green Envy, which by the way are now available in packets for single-use projects!
All of Chalk Couture’s Christmas designs are selling out, so get your hands on this Mrs. Claus’ Candy Shop before it sells out too! It includes 11 pieces, so it’s a good bargain.
