Farmhouse Wood Tote DIY

Sometimes when you sell handmade items and have one item that sells really well, it can be both a blessing … and I won’t say a curse, but kind of close.

Such is the case with the handmade wood totes my husband and I made.

Last I checked, we had made and sold over 50 of them.  That’s a lot of totes that take a fair amount of time to make.

To be honest, I was completely sick of making them.  So I discontinued carrying them a few months ago.

Now that I’ve had a break from them, I decided to try making them with Chalk Couture transfers.

I’m only going to offer them through the holidays so I don’t get burned out on making them again.

This is my first design.  It has sort of a Christmas theme.

It has my favorite vintage truck on one side.

… and Pine Creek Tree farm on the other side.

An evergreen tree is on one end.

I left the other end plain but will add the tree if the purchaser desires it.  If one of you wants it, just leave me a note when you check out so I know to add it before shipment.

I used a combination of three different transfer sets on this tote.

The first set is the Vintage Truck that I love so much.  I used it on a fall sign with pumpkins in the truck bed and a t-shirt.

I also used the new Winter Add-on set that includes a buffalo check truck base plus 16 more pieces.

The Pine Creek tree farm transfer was the one I used.  I also used the evergreen tree for the bed of the truck on a different project.  I’ll use the other pieces on something else.
