Tissue Box Holder Makeover / Easy Weekend Project

I took a poll on Facebook in my group about what word should go on this house tissue box holder that I bought for $5.

All three words had votes, but the majority said “gather.”  One person suggested “blow,” which I thought was a riot!  I would have loved “bless you,” but I’ve gotta work with what I have.

And what I have is the Welcome Trio transfer set.  The words are just the right size for the house tissue box holder.

I chalked it at night, so no in-process photos.  But it was super easy.

Like two minutes worth of easy!

Just peel, press, and paste.  More detailed instructions are HERE if you need them.

I felt like it needed an extra “something,” so I dug through my stash of transfers and found the eucalyptus wreath transfer that I had never used. This transfer is now retired.

Someday I’ll use all of it, but that little stem on the upper right was a perfect embellishment.  So I added it three times, twice above the word and once below.  As long as you work quickly, you don’t need to wash the transfer when using it multiple times.

Here’s how it turned out.  It’s on the picket fence shelf in my bathroom between two faux plants from IKEA.  I think it’s just darling!

I’ll be using all three words on some repurposed projects next week, so I hope you’ll come back to check those out too.

Don’t forget, Tuesday evening is the Talk of the Town link party.  Stop by and take a look at the features I choose.  Hope to see you there!

And if you haven’t yet joined my Creative DIY Home Decor and Gifts Facebook group, you should!  I have an awesome deal right now.

Vaya con Dios,

Angie

It is a cute tissue box, and sometimes we do tend to gather in the bathroom, lol!

That’ really cute, Angie! I never buy tissues in the small boxes like that because they are more expensive than the rectangular boxes and I tend to need to wipe my nose a lot! But the same design could be adapted for the larger box. The little sprigs of leaves are just the right touch.
