Today’s gorgeous images come from “The Cyr Readers – Book 2” & “The Beacon First Reader”.The Cyr Readers was a reading textbook for young school children and was published sometime in the early 1900’s. Today’s images are silhouettes from a 1935 children’s song book called, “Fifty Favorite Songs for Girls & Boys”. I’ve given most of them a black/gray tone, but left the complete song pages in their original color tone so you can see their pretty aged look. Today’s antique images come from a 1889 Harper’s Magazine and a 1916 Etude Magazine. This advertisement for a seed store has a lovely image of irises on it. I’ve given it a black and white tone here.
