This advertisement for the Metropolitan Livery, which provided carriage rides for funerals, weddings and party came from an early 1900 hymnal. I rarely see advertisements in hymnals, so this was unique to me. Here’s just the carriage image. I’d love to enjoy a drive to a party in one of these! Blessings, Angie
Antique Graphics Wednesday – 1898 Bunny Rabbit Illustration
I cannot believe that Easter is almost here – especially with several inches of snow on the ground. But, since the calendar doesn’t lie, I thought I’d share this cute illustration from an 1898 Primer with you. Do any of you raise rabbits? Or did you when you were a child? My family did. We had some that were pets and some that were food (yes…we ate bunnies – don’t hate me). Here’s the page with the original words, {Read More}

Repurposed Chair Seat Bulletin Board
In the fall, I brought home oodles and oodles of antique wooden folding chairs from an auction. I sold nearly all of them, but I had some left that either had damaged seats, or damaged frames. I love the challenge of figuring out something new to do with something that would otherwise be trash, so I pondered what I could do with the seat from one of the chairs that had a broken frame. I stripped off the {Read More}

(Click on photos to view full post) Let me know if you use any graphics I’ve posted in a project, so I can brag on you! Blessings, Angie View Verse of {Read More}
Colonial Pharmacy Sign
I’m sure you’ve figured it out by now, that I’m a little ga-ga over antique advertisements and signs. I really love taking an image from the past, and putting it onto something that can be used in today’s home. When possible, I love using the exact image, as I did in this sign, rather than just using a font to copy the wording. I used this antique pharmacy label that I shared with you for Antique Graphics Wednesday HERE, to {Read More}
Thursday’s Theme – {Grouped Collections}
Last week I brought home the most charming group of antique enamelware serving spoons. The make great home decor individually, but grouped together, they really pack a visual punch. It made me think back to all the instant collections I’ve sold in my shop over the last few years. I didn’t blog about most of these collections, so for Thursday’s Theme, I thought I’d share some of them with you. These grouped collections are always a good seller in my {Read More}
Antique Graphics Wednesday – 1920’s Bird Book Plates
To celebrate the first day of spring, today I’m sharing some beautiful book plate images of birds from a 1920’s book called, “Birds of the British Isles”. Enjoy!! (Click on Images to View Original Size) These would make beautiful framed prints. I used one on a mixed media project – layered over a painted canvas, with some sheet music, and a dictionary definition. Blessings, Angie
