Chalkboard Christmas Cards & Tags {printables}

I’ve been in chalkboard mode for the last few weeks, and decided to create some paper versions of them, in the form of Christmas cards and gift tags. I haven’t perfected these yet, but I do have 2 cards and a set of gift tags ready as printables.  The PDF file link is available below.  For the tags, I punched a hole in the top and added a white, adhesive reinforcement label. It looks very retro with that added. {click {Read More}

Thursday’s Theme – {Old School}

Don’t chalkboards just say, “old school” to you? When I was a kid, I loved being assigned the job of banging the chalkboard erasers together to get some of the dust out of them – it got me out of class and outdoors, where I really wanted to be. Once again, I’ve been working on chalkboard projects recently. These aren’t your usual “hang it on the wall” chalkboards though. First up, I got a old wooden folding card table at {Read More}

Antique Graphics Wednesday – Clock Faces

I am a clock face junkie. I like sharing them here, so that’s my excuse for bringing home a ridiculous amount of them. The backgrounds have been removed from these images, so they can be layered over other images. Right-click, save and print the image below to print the clock on one letter-size sheet of paper. No, I didn’t scan this one crooked – that’s the angle this clock face is – don’t ask me why. More vintage clock face {Read More}

Antique Graphics Wednesday – Thanksgiving Day Song

This Thanksgiving song is from an antique children’s song book called, “The Music Hour” These pages are amazingly white, given their age, but I like old-looking pages, so here it is with an aged color tone. More free Thanksgiving printables are HERE.

Antique Graphics Wednesday – Winter Sheet Music

Here’s a fun page of antique sheet music for the Christmas season.  It would make a nice background for a framed holiday photo or some Christmas projects. Blessings, View Verse of the Day Due to unethical websites stealing content, I can no longer provide a full RSS feed. I work too hard to produce original and inspiring content to have it stolen by others. Thank you for your understanding – I appreciate each one of you that take time out {Read More}

He Means Business

I was really busy and skipped my usual auction last week,but on my way to my son’s basketball game, I did visit a thriftstore and found “Mr. Business”. Someone must have been quite the salesmanor businessman to bring home these 2 trophies.  They no longer bear the name inscription plaques, so I don’t knowwho they belonged to or when he received them, but I’m guessingfrom the hats on the trophies, these must be from the 50’s or 60’s.  I was glad {Read More}

A Visit with Shizzle…Shelly, that is!

I’m always amazed at Shelly’s work and always thoughtshe gets such great results because she’s really gifted (which she is!),but I didn’t realize what a difference the choice of paint can make on a project.  I’ll be honest, I’ve been a bit skeptical aboutwhether clay and mineral paint was really worth the expense. I’m a total cheapo by nature, so I don’t usually even pay fullprice for off-the-shelf paint.  I look for “oops” cans for $5 wheneverI can find them.  Then, {Read More}

All Over the Map

Wow – the response to adding maps to my shop has been incredible!Within 2 days, 18 maps sold!  I’ve have been working non-stop gettingmore maps listed and now have both maps from 1960 and 1939 available in the shop,and plan to list maps from other years soon. On a total side note, I absolutely love this old metal “brick” siding thatis on one of our outbuildings.  If I didn’t use it so much as a photo backdrop,I think I’d try {Read More}

Thursday’s Theme {headboard coat racks}

I have no idea why I have such an addiction to old headboards, but I do.  I don’t have a booth anywhere, so I have no place to sell them, but I just keep bringing them home with me. I currently have 12 of them in my workshop and had to come up with some projects to create from them, so my husband won’t complain about my addiction. This one does double-duty as a chalkboard! There are 3-stem coat hooks {Read More}
