There are a lot of things I’ve bought that I’ve had buyer’s remorse over later, but today I thought I’d share some of my favorite purchases that I don’t regret. None of them are fancy, big ticket items, and I use all of them in my farmhouse style decorating in one way or another, and I’ll explain how I use, and why I love each one.
I’ve included links so you can shop for the ones you like as well. Some are affiliate links, which don’t increase your price, but I am convinced you’ll love them as much as I do.
WHITE FLOUR SACK TOWELS
You may wonder why I’d include plain white flour sack towels, but I seriously use these every single day – and not just for drying dishes.
The are simplicity perfected, and I love to display them … everywhere! You can see just a few ways I’ve used them here, here, and here.
Chalky Paint Powder
I constantly check the “oops” section at the paint counters in home improvement stores. It’s the section where paint has been discounted a lot because it was’t the color a customer wanted.
I prefer chalk paint to any other kind, so when I’m ready to use one of the discounted paints, I add chalky paint powder to it, and it turns the paint into chalk style paint. It is much less expensive than buying chalk paint, and I can custom mix my own colors. I go through tons of this stuff!
It’s available in 2 oz. to 80 oz. sizes, so you can get as much or little as you need.
Fiddes & Sons Furniture Wax
I finish all my paint projects with wax, and Fiddes and Sons is my favorite. It goes on like butter, and buffs to a beautiful matte finish. I use the clear wax, but it comes in other colors too.
Mason Jar Wire Handles
I have so many mason jars, but a limited amount of places to put them, so I’ve started adding wire handles to some and hanging them, as seen here.
Dried Lavender Bundles
Dried lavender bundles are a treat for me. They smell great and look so pretty. You can see how I’ve displayed them here and here.
Natural Cotton Twill Tape
I buy natural twill tape by the spool, because I use it so much, as seen here and here.
Well, that’s a wrap for my farmhouse favorite supplies. Let me know if you shop for some of them and tell me how you use them!
I’ll be back on Sunday with a repurpose of something really old. Hope to see you then! 🙂

Great ideas… think I may need those Mason jar holders myself!
