Looking Back at Old Blog Headers

I used to change my blog headers on a regular basis, to reflect seasons or a new favorite photo. It’s more challenging to do that now, as my header space is much more long and narrow, and isn’t large enough to accommodate most photos.  I do like my header now, because it isn’t too “busy” looking, but sometimes I miss changing out my headers. For those of you who are new readers, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of what my {Read More}

Valentine’s Day and Baby Shower Fancy Vintage Frame Printables

 These two fancy vintage frame images came from vintage playing cards.  I removed the original design inside the cards, so you can add your own images or words inside the frames.  I’ve created some Valentine and baby shower printables with these frames for you below.

Vintage Photo Mat Frame Printable

Last week, my buddy Betsy from My Salvaged Treasures (one of my Vintage Inspiration Party co-hosts), shared a photo on her Facebook page, showing how she uses vintage photos in mats to display the gorgeous jewelry that she makes and sells.  When I spotted the frame with the gal in the fur stole, I asked Betsy if she would scan that photo and mat and send it to me, so I could share it with you all as a printable, {Read More}

Antique Dressing Table Makeover and Beagle Photo Bomb

Last month, I showed you the antique dressing table I found at a thrift store.  I finished painting it several weeks ago, but it’s been too dark in my house to get a good photo of it, so I finally asked my husband and son to carry it outside so I could get photos in natural daylight. Here’s how it looks now.  I don’t buy a lot of antique furniture, and when I do, I almost always get it at an auction {Read More}

Hiding My Dirty Secret Behind Closed Doors

Remember my previous bedroom that we transformed into a British-theme room for my youngest son?  Didn’t that freshly painted closet door look wonderful?  Well, after the remodel was finished, that closet door was hiding my dirty secret that I never thought I’d share with the world…

How to Use Shape Fonts to Make a Skeleton Key Hook

I have so many collections around my house, but there’s one thing I collect that doesn’t cost any money, doesn’t take up any space in my house, and doesn’t need to be dusted, and that’s free fonts! I collect free fonts because it’s nice to have lots of different font styles to choose from when making a graphic, but also because I love dingbats! Dingbats are special shape fonts.  Each shape is created using the regular alphabet or numbers on your keyboard. {Read More}

Pallet Wood Floating Shelf

Last week when I made the Pallet Wood Coat Rack w/Storage, I had a lot of wood leftover from the same pallet, so before I moved the extra wood out to my workshop, I thought I’d come up with one more project using some of it first, and this DIY floating shelf was super easy!  I’m including the directions, so you can make one too.

Wooden Door Backdrops

Recently my husband brought home a bunch of doors used doors.  He installed one to replace our bedroom door, and used another for the closet he built into our bedroom.   I love incorporating doors into my decor, and there are several solid wood doors that we won’t need, so I decided to turn them into door backdrops.  I’ll be able to use them in my house, but get double-duty from them as door backdrops for photos as well.  This one is a {Read More}
