A few weeks ago, I brought home a very small German book that appears to be from the early 1900’s. I believe it was a daily Bible devotional book. In this book were several beautiful little color pages with a floral motif and a scripture verse on each one. This advertisement for the Metropolitan Livery, which provided carriage rides for funerals, weddings and party came from an early 1900 hymnal. To celebrate the first day of spring, today I’m sharing some beautiful book plate images of birds from a 1920’s book called, “Birds of the British Isles”. Enjoy!!
