August Monthly Recap | 12 Projects and Posts from Knick of Time

August Monthly Recap

Like so many of you, I’ve watched the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.  My cousin’s 1-story home in Tomball, Texas, was spared by just inches.  She was able to get out once the flooding on the roads subsided.   A cousin of my son’s fiancée was less fortunate, and lost everything.  I know the situation will get worse for those in areas that will be flooded by the release of water from reservoirs.  I know many of my readers are in the Houston area and others are affected by flooding, and I pray everyone is safe.  Please let me know you are okay when you can.

Now, on to a look at what I shared in August.

Farmhouse covered back porch decor with canvas pillows and faux wicker furniture

My husband and I kicked off the month of August by giving our back porch a makeover.  If you didn’t see how it looked before, you can see the disaster HERE.  I’m warning you – it was BAD.

I can’t believe we waited so long to do this makeover, because we are loving this space now.  Tomorrow I’ll be sharing  another project I finished for the other side of the porch!

I don’t buy things on Craigslist often, but I bought an old cabinet and transformed it into a farmhouse style bookcase I love.  See the before and how I did it HERE.
