I bought this old metal toolbox at the auction months ago and usually sell them, but I didn’t realize this one was missing part of the latch on one side, so I decided to keep it and plant some fall mums inside.  It wasn’t until I had the flowers planted and stepped back to look, that I realized it’s smiling! I recently got a box full of books and in it were 2 books with covers I loved.  One has a fall print and the other has a winter print, so they seemed perfect to turn in to little seasonal chalkboards. I used painter’s tape to block off the area I didn’t want painted, and added a few coats of chalkboard paint.  I used my blow dryer to speed up the drying between coats of paint.
