Welcome to the 3rd edition of my monthly recaps!
July was a more relaxing month than May and June since we didn’t do any traveling. My mom and niece did come to visit and we had a great time visiting extended family, having a “girls’ night out” at a cabin at the lake, and going to Six Flags together. I worked on fewer projects this month so I could just enjoy their visit.
The first project I did work on was turning the sign I made for my son’s wedding into a pallet wood coffee mug rack. The next project I finished was turning a cabinet door into a “Gather” sign for my kitchen. I also shared a round-up of some of my favorite affordable farmhouse furniture finds you can buy online.
A fun and quick makeover was turning a thrift store cutting board into a serving tray.
If you love old signs, I shared how to make an old farmhouse sign on new wood.
For all the cat lovers, I gave you a chance to brag on your favorite cat and showed how I made our Mary Jane a cat climbing tower out of a tree branch!
I shared a mid-summer update on how the flowers were growing in my guest house junk garden – what grew well and what didn’t.
You gave me lots of great ideas about what to do with the empty cabinet after I turned a cabinet door into a magnet board.
The repurposed rusty shovel garden sign was the last project I finished in July and was also the final project of my Junk Garden series for 2017.
Well, that’s a wrap for July! I’d love to hear what your favorite projects were.
Come back tomorrow and get inspired at the Talk of the Town link party, or share the projects you’ve been working on and recipes you’ve made!
