Singing the Blues with Blue Farmhouse Style

While I love white as the wall color in my house, I think blue in all shades makes the perfect companion to white in farmhouse style, so let’s take a look at some of them that “sing the blues” beautifully! Blue Farmhouse Style

Make a Farmhouse Pedestal Stand

Do you know how to make a pedestal stand?  I love these things to pieces and have a few new ones that my husband and I finished this week! Not only do they look super farmhousey (yeah, I made that word up), but they earn their keep in the kitchen.  Since I have a serious shortage of counter space in my kitchen, everything has to be functional, and can’t just sit and look pretty. The first one we finished was made {Read More}

New DIY Farmhouse Wooden Tote with Vintage Sign Stencils by Knick of Time

New DIY Farmhouse Wooden Tote I may not have my finger on the pulse of every bit of news going on in the world, but there are some things I think the world is entitled to know about… Like if a volcano is about to erupt down the road from me, I expect someone to knock on my door and tell me to get my family and run for my life…. am I right? Shopping on Accident and Explaining it to My Husband

When it comes to shopping, normally I’m a “get in and get out as fast as you can” person – especially at the grocery store, but there’s a store that takes me on a detour every time I’m in it. It isn’t a store you are likely to ever come across, unless you happen to veer off I-40 midway between Albuquerque and Gallup. Now, this is reservation land, and there is a casino and a DQ, but I wasn’t planning to gamble, {Read More}

Counter Space Dilemma and Faux Farmhouse Curtain

Counter tops and shelves are prime real estate in my house.  Everyone in my family wants to own some of that property, and there just isn’t enough for everyone to put what they want on the counters. I’ll admit that not only do I treat counters as drop zones for my purse, mail and craft supplies, but I want to display some of my favorite vintage kitchen decor on them too, which leaves very little room to actually do meal prep, or {Read More}

Free Farmhouse Vignette Photo Printable

Now, I don’t mean to toot my own horn or anything, but I was really pleased with the old farmhouse look captured in the product photos of the milk bottles I shared yesterday.  🙂 I wanted the photos to look like they were taken in an old farmhouse kitchen from the previous generation – like grandma was getting ready to do some baking on a Saturday morning, and I think the photos captured that spirit.

New Farmhouse Milk Bottles

I’ve got a new style of farmhouse milk bottles in my shop to show you today! Ever since I made my first batch of farmhouse milk bottles, I’ve been trying to solve a problem with them. The problem with the original ones was you couldn’t put water in them or the painted interior would pull away from the glass.  You could only put dried or faux flowers inside them. I’ve been looking for a solution to solve that problem, and I’m happy {Read More}

When Creativity Takes a Nosedive

I was so glad to get home last week, and couldn’t wait to dive into some new projects. The  long drive home I planned what I would work on first. So,  what amazing projects have I completed in that week?

Winter White Inside the Farmhouse

It’s been snowing at my house the last several days and it’s frigid cold, and although the winter white scene outside looks pretty, I’m ready for the snow to stop. Really ready.
