National Parks Battlefields and Historic Sites Trip

My daughter and I took a National Parks battlefields and historic sites trip a few weeks ago. We both love all National Parks and are history buffs, so we planned our trip to visit some of the eastern US battlefields and historic sites. Neither of us have been to any of these sites before and only she has visited one of the states we went to but that was when she was very young with her best friend. Our travels {Read More}

Stenciled Vintage Suitcase | What a Wonderful World

 What a Wonderful World Stenciled Vintage Suitcase Recently, when my son and daughter-in-law were visiting, we went to Hannibal, MO, to visit the shops downtown. In one of my favorite shops I found a vintage suitcase at a great price. My husband asked why I wanted it. To be honest, I had no idea!   I thought about painting it because it’s dinged up, but I just couldn’t decide.

St. Charles Missouri Day Trip

Since we were going to California, we made it our family vacation too.  So we packed a lot in a short amount of time.

World Travels – Repurposed Antique Suitcase & Map Pages Mixed Media Wall Art

During the summer, when my sister and her 4 kids came for a visit, I showed you the bounty of “junk” my nephew had found near his house and brought for me (here). One of the things he brought, was the tattered remains from a small antique suitcase.  The only thing left was the wooden edges and metal corner brackets, and just a bit of the original cardboard. I loved it  – especially the brackets and wanted to come up {Read More}
