Vintage Postcards Images

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared any vintage postcards images, so today I have 5 of them that I found at an antique store recently.  They all have blue text and great fonts.  These would be wonderful for invitations and announcements, and if printed as wallet size, would make unique gift tags. {right-click on the full size images below, and save to your computer} {MORE PRINTABLE VINTAGE POSTCARDS CAN BE FOUND HERE}   Blessings,

Big Red Barn Photograph Printable

When I shared my DIY barn quilt a few days ago, I teased that this beautiful big red barn was actually my barn, before revealing what my barn really looks like. I took this photo a little over a week ago, when I was visiting family a few hours away.  It really is my dream barn.  Can you imagine a barn like this converted into a house?  I would want my bedroom up in the hay loft where that row of windows is. {Read More}

Repurposed Chair Flower Planter

 A few years ago, I had scads (does anyone still use that word?) of old chairs that I’d picked up, primarily at auctions.  I was on a repurposed chair kick , so most of them were turned into new creations, but I still have just a few left that I’ve never done anything with. I have no idea what possessed me to buy 2 of these chairs, because they aren’t my style at all, but I did.  I think they must {Read More}

DIY Barn Quilt

It isn’t a big secret that I love old barns, but have I ever told you about MY barn? Well, it’s a great big old red barn, with a white door, and a hayloft on top. There are horses in their stalls, and chickens in a coop, and we gather fresh eggs from them every day. On the outside, hollyhocks and sunflowers are growing, and the old water spigot never stops dripping. Hanging on the side of my barn is a big, beautiful barn quilt.

Make Your Dash Count

 http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV Those of you who have visited my blog for awhile, know I’m the mom of 4 kids, but what I’ve never shared before, is that before I ever had kids of my own, there were three other children in my life. Within 2 months of getting married, my husband and I became foster parents to 3 children with special needs, as part of a pilot program to remove young children with profound physical and mental disabilities from institutions, so they {Read More}

Adirondack Chairs Makeover in Two Shades of Blue

A few years ago, I won a pair of Adirondack chairs at an auction, for the bargain price of $10 bucks for both. I couldn’t believe I got such a great deal on them.  They are super comfortable to sit on, and I love them, but we probably should have stored them in the garage during the winter.  The wood was bare, without any paint or sealer, so the elements were starting to take a toll on them, and I wanted to give them {Read More}

Consider the Wildflowers – Photography Printable with Bible verse

Happy Mother’s Day!! I picked up this pretty red enamelware coffee pot at an antique store last month, and went outside to pick some flowering weeds to put in it.  They may only be weeds, but I think they are just as pretty as flowers from a garden, and they are growing prolifically along my gravel road, so I can pick them to my heart’s content! It reminded me of the “consider the wildflowers” verse found in Luke 12:27 NIV {Read More}
